Are you an experienced technical support professional looking for the next step in your career? If you have experience of technical application support and are looking for that senior position – MSX International needs you! As an Application Support Specialist with the MSXI Global group, you will have the opportunity to assist with developing a team based in the UK. More about the role: The application support desk at MSX International is the one stop shop for support on all our bespoke applications built for and used by the automotive industry. The support you will offer is varied and where possible you will try to resolve all faults at first time fix with our team. The Senior position is responsible for the day to day activities of the support desk and is responsible for ticket escalations and root cause analysis. The Senior also acts as the change administrator to the technical change process. Duties will include: Use of ticketing system for call logging, fault resolution and production of reports In depth triage of bugs and faults on RNS built applications – root cause analysis Working with development teams on fault resolution and pushing for fix Documentation and updating articles for the knowledge centre Acting as change administrator for the technical change process Managing team rota/holidays/absences etc. Responsibility for training junior members of the team Candidate Specifications: Ideally position would suit someone moving up from 1 -2 years support experience Experience of customer support – specifically application related Knowledge of java would be advantageous but not essential Able to understand technical information and deliver to a non-technical audience Able to build relationships across teams for incident resolution Working Pattern and location: Based as our office at the Knowledge Gateway at Essex University Shift pattern covering between 07:30 – 18:00 Monday – Friday Some out of hours work may be required on an adhoc basis What we can offer you: Salary up to £25,000 per annum depending on experience Other company benefits include: 25 days annual leave, company contributory pension plan, cash back health care scheme, life assurance, car salary exchange scheme, exclusive discounts on everyday purchases as well as exclusive discounts on car purchases.
