Job Description

We are working on behalf of our client to bring an Assistant Accountant to their already successful team in Birmingham

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post daily banking.

  • Raising of cheques, ensuring all correct documentation and authority is obtained ensuring timely submission

  • Register purchase invoices ensuring accompanied by valid purchase order.

  • Control of site petty cash.

  • Co-ordinate flow of documentation/post between sites

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working within a car dealership accounts department.

  • IT literate with training/knowledge of the Kerridge computer system.

  • Ability to cope with tight deadlines maintaining accuracy.

  • Basic VAT/tax knowledge.

  • Professional manner with good communication skills.
