The Sandown Group is privately owned business originally routed from Sandown Motors, established in South Africa in 1982. 

The focus was on Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and commercial vehicle franchises, as well as all of the other Daimler brands, Sandown Motors grew to become the largest Mercedes-Benz retailer in South Africa. 

With the phenomenal growth of the company, Sandown Group moved to the UK in 2006 and now represents the Mercedes-Benz and smart brands in two Market Areas and across six retailers in the south of England.

An opportunity has arisen to join us as a Sales Executive at our Guildford dealership. Applicants will need to have a passion for sales and excellent face to face customer care skills. We are looking for candidates who currently performing in the upper quartile at their dealership and would encourage top performers only to apply. You will be expected to discuss and demonstrate at interview your ability in this area.   Exceptional customer service skills are essential as is a proactive approach and determination to sell cars.   Successful candidates will currently be working in Sales in the Motor Trade and Top Sales Performers are encouraged to apply. We are looking for a Leasing Retention Executive to join our Fleet team in Guildford.  Working in a fast paced, dynamic, volume driven fleet sales department, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an already highly successful business looking to now grow its digital sales channel with concentration on both key broker accounts and direct customer sales. This role is primarily focused on our direct customer retention sales, multi brand business; however, diversity will be key as we look to expand the sales channels within the department. Main Duties and Responsibilities Contacting prospective customers who are due to renew within the next 6 months as the supplying dealer. Identifying previous needs/contract structure and looking into new alternatives for the renewal. Primarily focused on Mercedes Benz/Smart product, but also able to offer other Marques/Brands according to customer interest/preference. Adhering to department SLA’s, ensuring quotations are dealt with in an effective manner. Networking and promoting the business. Compile multi marque quotes to load onto the online platform Load industry information onto the website Review marketplace to ensure offers are competitive Liaise with funding partners to offer the customer the best prices available across a selection of vehicles. Communicate regularly with additional suppliers to ensure our offers are competitive The role is an internet based sales role, so an excellent phone etiquette is essential to success. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to communicate effectively with a proactive, ‘can do’ attitude, is comfortable talking to customers directly, able to work independently and as part of a team. You will need to be confident numerically and have a good understanding of Excel as well as good literacy skills. Although a sales background would be an advantage, it’s not a necessity and full training will be given to the right candidate. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Fleet team at Cobbett’s Park in Guildford. The main purpose of the role will be dealing with all sales administration duties including sourcing vehicles, ordering new vehicles, arranging deliveries and taxing vehicles. Applicants must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Kerridge and LeaseLink is desirable.  Key Accountabilities Broker sales administration/processing. Liaising with the broker/fleet sales team and customers. Raising invoices and ensuring prompt payment. Producing weekly and monthly reports as required. Prepare general correspondence as requested General liaising with brokers/customers over the telephone and dealing with any queries. Order progression, including liaising with suppliers and drivers to ensure everyone is kept up to date with regards to the delivery of new cars. Operating fleet management system Knowledge of vehicle specifications and vehicle ordering systems Ensure that within their area of operation all Company and Trade Associations policies, procedures and minimum standards are met and that all statutory requirements including trading standards, fire, health and safety are adhered to Handle all internal and external customers and suppliers with courtesy and ensure the Mercedes-Benz experience is delivered to all contacts at all times To implement Company policies and procedures and show the right attitude of enthusiasm, conduct and attendance To support Managers and build good relations with fellow team members To develop self by attending all training sessions, putting learning points into practice The successful candidate will be: Capable of dealing with people of all levels. Professional in manner and comfortable answering the phone. IT literate and able to work with multiple systems, preferably with good Excel skills. Conscientious and maintains a high level of accuracy. Have previous experience within a customer service based role. Fleet / vehicle experience is desirable.
